Lewes, DE- Delaware State Police Arrested Roy H. Hanna, 30, of Elkton, MD, and George W. Whiteman, 52, of North East, MD, for criminal theft Wednesday night.
On September 15, 2021, at approximately 8:14 p.m., Blue Heron Construction Company contacted Delaware State Police after receiving information about the removal of their Ditch Witch SK800 construction equipment from the parking lot of the Middle Creek Preserve clubhouse. , Angola Beach. It was now located in the parking lot of the Lewes BP gas station located at 17580 Coastal Highway, Lewes. Soldiers responded to Lewes BP and found a white 2021 Dodge Ram pickup towing a trailer with the SK800 Ditch Switch stolen on it. The soldiers contacted Dodge driver Roy H. Hanna and passenger George W. Whiteman. Both individuals were taken into custody without incident and transported to Delaware State Police Troop 7.
Roy hanna was charged with the following crimes:
- Theft $ 1,500 or more (crime)
- Second degree conspiracy (felony)
- Third degree criminal trespass
He was brought to justice by Justice of the Peace of the Court of Peace No. 3 and released on unsecured bail of $ 5,500.00.
George W. Whiteman was charged with the following crimes:
- Theft $ 1,500 or more (crime)
- Second degree conspiracy (felony)
- Third degree criminal trespass
