WEG and Technidrive showcase energy efficient technologies at Hillhead 2022

WEG, manufacturer of industrial motors and drives, and its premier distributor Technidrive are attending Hillhead 2022, the world’s largest career fair. The show is being held at the Hillhead Quarry in Buxton, UK from June 21-23, where Technidrive will focus on its energy efficient jaw crusher auto release system, manufactured with WEG products at stand PC58.

Held in a limestone quarry, Hillhead 2022 marks the 40e anniversary of the show. More than 600 exhibitors will present thousands of products on display live, with more than 20,000 visitors expected to meet suppliers and view the latest equipment, products and services on offer.

WEG and Technidrive will share stand PC58 and present the innovative automatic jaw crusher system, which uses WEG products.

To create the system, a customer approached Technidrive to fit a new motor into their jaw crusher machine. By using WEG motors, controls and alternators for the project, Technidrive was not only able to improve the efficiency and reliability of the motor, but also the efficiency and safety of the entire jaw crusher.

“Since Technidrive’s first jaw crusher project, several quarries have shown interest in bespoke systems to increase product, safety and efficiency of existing and new designs,” explained Marek Lukaszczyk, Marketing Manager for WEG Europe and Middle East. “Technidrive offers specialist systems developed specifically for the quarrying industry, aided by the essential expertise and product range of the WEG team.”

In addition to the jaw crusher system, WEG will be showcasing its WG20 range of geared motors, its W22 motor, its brand new CFW900 variable speed drive (VSD) and its Motion Fleet Management (MFM) digital platform.

The CFW900 drive from WEG is the newest addition to the reliable CFW line of variable frequency drives. The model benefits from a simplified design, increased power density and improved usability that allows the user to access configurations and technical data in an easier and faster way.

The CFW900 works with a range of digital tools pioneered by WEG, such as MFM. The new platform, which will also be showcased at the show, provides remote online asset monitoring.

“With the addition of the CFW900 to the CFW family, we wanted to offer a VSD with optimal connectivity so that users could benefit from increased productivity, ease of use and functionality in any environment. app,” added Lukaszczyk. “The CFW900 also has built-in functionality, making it easy to implement WEG’s Motion Fleet Management (MFM) system, which enables online monitoring and maintenance management of the industrial drive fleet. .”
