Barkby Real Estate Development Ltd also wants to build seven new warehouses and some offices on land in Drakes Meadow, Greenbridge Industrial Estate.
It would be built on undeveloped land forming part of the Drakes Business Park.
The park houses a range of uses, such as offices, industrial units and car showrooms.
The site is not located in a conservation area nor are there any listed statutory buildings in the immediate area.
The proposals include 74 parking spaces, with eight disabled spaces – 44 of these would serve industrial units and 30 would be for drive-thrus. In addition, there would be 12 places for bicycles and five places for motorcycles.
A printout of the drive-thru design was submitted along with the plans, designed to meet Costa’s requirements.
The design and access statement reads: “Proposals include an integrated landscaping strategy that responds well to the site and provides an integral aspect responsive to the overall design.
“The site is easily accessible to all modes of transport and provides easy access for all users. The proposals meet the needs of all building users and visitors and are fully compliant with all accessibility legislation.”
